What Is Set For Life? 

Set For Life is a lottery game run by The National Lottery. The grand prize is different compared to other National Lottery games. Rather than winning a jackpot and receiving it in one lump sum, the Set For Life lottery top prize is paid over 30 years. 

You must match 5 numbers plus the Life Ball to win the grand Set For Life prize. The prize is £10,000 every month for 30 years. Match 5 numbers for the second prize of £10,000 every month for 1 year.

The Set For Life lottery draws take place every Monday and Thursday. If you want to play on a draw day, buy your ticket before 7:30 pm.

To play the Set For Life lottery, you can buy your ticket in-store or online for £1.50. Choose 5 numbers from 1-47 and a Life Ball number between 1-10. Or, if you prefer, you can select Lucky Dip for a random selection of numbers! Next, choose whether you would like to play Monday’s or Thursday’s draw and decide how many lottery tickets you want to buy.

How Many People Have Won Set For Life? 

As of July 2023, there have been a total of 61 top-prize winners in the Set For Life lottery, respectively. All of these lucky winners receive £10,000 a month for 30 years. 

The first Set For Life lottery draw first took place in March 2019, and over the past 4 years, 61 winners have won the grand prize. If a Set For Life winner dies before receiving all of their Set For Life winnings, the remaining prize money is paid to the winner’s estate. The remaining prize money is paid as one lump sum.

It is possible to win the Set For Life lottery twice. It’s rare to win the lottery once (1 in 15.3 million), and the chances of winning again are very rare. Although the odds are slim, it could potentially happen.
