If you want a fast-paced and easy-to-learn card game, then you could consider Three Card Brag. 3 Card Brag is a card game whose objective is for the player to achieve the highest ranking 3 card hand.
We’ll explain how to play the game, and the highest and lowest hands in Three Card Brag in our King Casino blog post below.
Every player receives three cards face-down at the beginning of a 3-Card Brag game. They decide to bet or fold, depending on the cards in hand. Betting continues until a showdown between the two players remains. The person with the best hand wins at this point.
There are different hands possible in the game, including; a Flush, a High Card, A Run, etc. Of course, each has its own ranking.
We’ll look at the different winning hands in Three Card Brag from the highest scoring one to the lowest.
Prial
The ‘Pair Royal’ or Prial is the top-ranked hand in the game. It consists of 3 equal ranking cards. For example, an AAA hand or a 444 hand.
Running Flush
A running flush hand is where a player’s 3 cards run the same suit. For example, 4, 5, 6. However, the highest running flush is A, 2, 3.
Run
A run consists of three consecutive cards of any suit. For example, A, K, Q. The highest value run is A, 2, 3.
Flush
A flush comprises 3 cards of the same suit. The odds of having a flush are around 1 in 20.
Pair
A pair is a hand with two matching cards, e.g., A, A, 2 or K, K, 10.
High Card
The high card is the worst hand in Three Card Brag. It’s a hand without any matching suits or cards. So, the player would have to rely on the high card, e.g., Q, 4, 2., where Q is the high card. If two players have the same high card, we look to the second and third cards to determine the winner.

You win 3 Card Brag by having the best hand of all your opponents. Everyone receives their cards face-down at the start of the round. So, this is where the ‘brag’ part of the game comes in. You might need to get good at bluffing your way through the game to try and improve your chances of winning.
There is no winning strategy in 3 Card Brag since it’s a game of chance. If you want to win, you can start by believing you can achieve the best ranking hand and convince your opponents the same.
